SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AT TNU IN THE LAST 20 YEARS
Tuesday, February 3, 2015Since its establishment, TNU has implemented 13,739 subjects and scientific projects at all levels, including 09 State level research projects, 8 Protocol research projects, 26 basic research projects, 1,450 Ministry-level subjects and scientific projects, 12,246 scientific projects at grassroots and student level, 5,009 scientific articles were published at domestic and international journals, science-technology books, including 733 international scientific journals. The university implemented more than 100 programs and collaborative scientific research and technology transfer projects with 13/16 provinces of the Northern mountainous region and 17 enterprises with total expenditure of more than 1,500 billion VND.

Tuesday, February 3, 2015Thai Nguyen University (TNU) has conferred the doctor honoris causa upon 04 foreign visiting professors in recognition of their significant contributions to the university on the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of Thai Nguyen University. They are Prof. Christopher A. Reichl from University of Hawaii at Hilo (the US), Assoc. Prof. Olivia P. Magpily from Laguna Polytechnic University (the Phillippines), Prof. Yuan-Kuang Guu from National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (Taiwan), and Dr. Alexander Coward from University of California at Davis (the US).

Tuesday, February 3, 2015In the morning of April 4, 2014, Thai Nguyen University solemnly celebrated the Celebration of 20 years since the Government promulgated Decree of Thai Nguyen University’s Establishment (04/4/1994 – 04/4/2014). The celebration was highlighted by the awarding of the Second Class Labor Medal which was presented by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Politburo Commissioner, Deputy Prime Minister. The Commissioner gladly bestowed the honorable plaque of recognition for Thai Nguyen University.
