Applicants must have received an unconditional offer for a relevant program and who are commencing students at UQ. The application deadline is 30 April 2014.
Zhejiang University is offering Asian Future Leaders Scholarship Program to pursue two years English-taught master program i.e. “Master in Public Administration: Asia Synergy Program for Future Leaders”. This is a full scholarship available for Asian students (except students from People’s Republic of China). Decisions for admission and for granting the scholarships will be made on the basis of the applicants’ competitiveness, academic record and otherwise. Application should be submitted till May 30, 2014.
OFID (The OPEC Fund for International Development) is funding scholarship for students of developing countries (except OFID Member Countries). Scholarship is awarded for pursuing graduate studies in a development-related discipline. To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must first obtain admission to pursue a Master’s (graduate) degree in any recognized university/college in the world. The tuition fees, including any supplementary examination fees, as may be required by the academic institution, will be paid by OFID directly to the academic institution. Victoria University of Wellington is offering doctoral scholarships for New Zealand and international students in any discipline. Total 35 scholarships are available and awarded on academic merit basis. Applicants must be graduates of any university within or outside of New Zealand who intend to enroll full time for a Doctorate (PhD) at Victoria University or who have commenced their doctoral study at Victoria University. The scholarship includes $23,500 stipend annually + tuition fees up to three years. The application deadline is 1st July 2014.
In 2014, the University of Brighton is offering 40 international scholarships to new, full-time international undergraduate and postgraduate taught-degree students. Scholarships worth a reduction of £4,000 off the cost of your tuition fees for each year of the course are available. The strongest candidates will be those demonstrating a mixture of academic merit (including English language ability) and other merit or outstanding achievement in a particular field of activity. Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the budget for development cooperation is offering Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) for developing country applicants. NFP will be awarded for master’s and short courses. Students must be a national of one of the countries in the NFP country list valid at the time of application. If for whatever reason a candidate stays in another country other than his or her home country for more than 90 days before the start of the course and/ or programme, he or she is not considered to be living and working in his or her home country. Nuffic receives thousands of fellowship applications each year. Only a small percentage of these applications are eventually granted a fellowship. Application should be submitted till 6th May 2014.
The La Trobe Business School offers MBA scholarship for international students in Australia. Applicant must have a minimum 70% GPA from the undergraduate degree Level. Seniority of work experience will also be considered where applicable. The scholarships are each worth A$10 000 and will be disbursed equally across enrolled subjects for the duration of the course. The application deadline is 11 July 2014.
University of Oslo is offering PhD research fellowship in medicinal chemistry. The position is connected to a project with the working title “Design, synthesis and evaluation of new organocatalysts for enantioselective iodolactonizations”, which is a project within organic synthesis related to medicinal chemistry and lipid chemistry. Applicants with a background in synthetic lipid chemistry, synthetic medicinal chemistry or enantioselective synthesis will be preferred. The application deadline is 20th April, 2014.
International Institute for Asian Studies is offering postdoctoral fellowships for researchers from around the world who would like to apply for a position as ‘affiliated fellow’ at IIAS. Fellowships are particularly for researchers focusing on the three clusters ‘Asian cities’, ‘Asian heritages’ and ‘Global Asia’. Applicants should have a PhD degree in related field. The fellowship will be tenable for a maximum period of 10 months. The application deadline is 1 October 2014 for commencement between January and April 2015.
Applications are invited for ADB- Japan Scholarship Programme available for students of Asian Development Bank’s developing member countries. The ADB-JSP enrolls about 300 students annually in participating academic institutions located in 10 countries within the region. Scholarships are available to undertake postgraduate studies in economics, management, science and technology and other development-related fields at participating academic institutions in the Asian and Pacific Region. The scholarship is for one year with an extension to the second year of study. Students are expected to contribute to the economic and social development of their home countries.
