These activities have since been extended to focus on alumni relations and their efforts in support of the University. Alumni interest and goodwill has been encouraged resulting in development of intellectual and emotional ties between members and their University. However the present setup now requires being ‘formalized’ and strengthened in order to ensure success of activities of alumni in different parts of the world and specifically in the Western Hemisphere.

The Alumni Office being directly responsible to the Pro-Vice Chancellor will provide range of benefits and services for alumni; cultivate interaction between Alumni. The Office intends bringing all Alumni activities under one umbrella covering all former students and individuals associated with TNU University/College and connecting them in effective relationship amongst its members.

To extend the spirit of TNU, one additional category of Friends of Alumni has been included in the Network in addition to Alumni (only former graduates).

The Registrar of the University has been instructed to register Alumni and develop an effective friendly interface on the Alumni Network webpage.
