Global Korea Scholarship
Program Overview
Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP) has been renamed Global Korean Government Scholarship (GKS) since 2019 or also known as Korean Government Scholarship Program. These are scholarships funded by the Korean government budget.
Every year, the Korean Government Scholarship Program opens in two admission rounds: February and September. The February admission round is for postgraduate programs, i.e. Masters, PhDs and research. The September one is for those who apply to study at university, i.e. to obtain a bachelor's degree.
Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) is designed to provide international students with opportunities to study at higher education institutions in Korea, both undergraduate and graduate level. The scholarship aims to enhance international education exchange and strengthen mutual friendship between Korea and participating countries.
