Development and Policies Research Center (DEPOCEN) is an independent research organization. The Center has a well-trained team of researchers who are researching on a wide range of issues from economy, international businesses, public policies and other parts of research social economic. The Center’s research papers have been published in high-quality international journals such as Bulletin of Economic Research, Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, Scottish Journal of Political Economy and Journal of Population Economics.

Operating as an international community of scholars, DEPOCEN has several internationally know researchers and professors including Prof. Jim Taylor and Prof. Steve Bradley (University of Lancaster); Prof. Le Van Cuong (Centre d'Economie de la Sorbonne - CES, French National Center for Scientific Research - CNRS), Dr. Haile Getinet (Policy Studies Institute, London). Prof. Le Van Cuong, who now is the Editor of DEPOCEN Working Paper Series, has actively contributed to various activities and development vision of the Center.

DEPOCEN'S CORE ACTIVITIES:

Research: Economics, Finance, Environment, Trade, Development issues, Poverty analysis, Evaluation.

Training: Regular short-courses in economics, economic analysis, survey, quantitative methods, qualitative methods.

Consultancy: Economic and policy consultancy, Research consultancy, Statistical consultancy and Business consultancy.

2. French National Centre for Scientific Research (University Paris 1, Pantheon Sorbonne - Paris School of Economics, France)

The National Center for Scientific Research, known by its French initials CNRS, is a science and technology agency operating under the auspices of the ministry of research. The CNRS operates through its own laboratories, as well as others run jointly with universities, fellow research organizations and industry. These laboratories are located throughout France, and several are even outside the country.

Its primary mission is to advance knowledge, but the CNRS also helps foster the application of its research results. For example, it maintains an extremely active partnership policy with industry.

The CNRS has five major missions:

Amplify partnership actions.

Leverage the results of research

Help create small businesses

Foster the transfer of innovative technologies.

Train employees in economic and business practices.

3. Foreign Trade University (FTU), Hanoi, Vietnam

The mission of Foreign Trade University is to train and provide high quality and advanced human resource in economics, business administration, finance, banking, technology, and foreign languages; to create and transfer scientific knowledge to meet the demand of the economy and business community.

Foreign Trade University aims to become a leading university and to be ranked among the top universities in Asia and the world. FTU shall include schools, research institutes, corporations, centers, faculties and departments. FTU shall develop three main campuses located in the capital city of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and a northern part of Vietnam.

4. Thai Nguyen University, Vietnam

Thai Nguyen University (TNU) is an educational community of vibrant and learned scholars, professionals, friends, and students. Since its establishment in 1994, TNU has become one of Vietnam’s leading regional Universities. It is a conglomeration of colleges which were established earlier as separate institutions of learning.

TNU is a multi-disciplinary and multi-level university model composing of 23 administrative units, training units, research units, and units for serving training and research, namely 07 universities, 01 colleges, 02 faculties, 01 publishing house, 01 practical hospital, 01 Learning Resource Centers, 01 Center for Defense Education, 03 research institutions and 06 centers of expertise. As of December 31, 2012, TNU has a total of 4,193 civil servants with 2,719 teaching staff, including 105 professors and associate professors, 398 PhD. and 1,776 master's degree holders. In addition, TNU has approximately 1000 graduate students and students studying in the educational institutions all over the world.
