Student Exchange

Student mobility and accompanying academic recognition are assumed to be necessary prerequisites for a dynamic student with an international outlook that will aid in the country’s effort to globalize and expand the labor market mobility. However, for students to be mobile they have to have access to the financial resources and support to enable them to study abroad

TNU offers student a mobility programme to meet the needs of international students who wish to spend a single semester or one full academic year of study in Viet Nam. It also gives a similar opportunity to TNU students who wish to experience studying at academic institutions abroad. TNU has signed approximately 10 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to foster student mobility programmes with universities from all over the world as of February 2012.

Participant and target countries for mobility include countries such as India, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Japan, Oman, Iran, Yemen, Sudan, South Africa, Australia, Italy, Austria, UK, Germany and France. By participating in this programme, students will return to their respective universities with new knowledge, cultural understanding, maturity and lifelong friends from the host country. Student mobility is a programme that initiates the exchange of students between two institutions for one or two semester(s) of study that usually allows credit transfer to the existing degree programme in the student‟s home university. This exchange will provide the student with the academic experience that benefits his/her programme of study.
