In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Government's decree establishing Thai Nguyen University (April 4, 1994 – April 4, 2024), on March 9, Thai Nguyen University organized a sports competition for staff, employees, and students. Over 700 athletes, comprising faculty members, staff, employees, and students from the various schools and member units of Thai Nguyen University, participated in the event.

In his opening speech, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thanh Van, Vice President of Thai Nguyen University, emphasized: The sports competition aims to ignite a movement of regular sports practice among the staff, employees, and students of Thai Nguyen University. Through this event, it provides an opportunity for the university's entire staff, employees, and students to enhance their health, foster learning exchanges, and deepen mutual understanding.

The sports event was organized to continue promoting and enhancing the physical training movement, improving health, and developing physical fitness; it also aimed to increase interactions and learning opportunities among the staff, faculty, and students across the university. Furthermore, the event serves to motivate and encourage the staff, employees, and students to be proactive in their work and studies.
