On the morning of January 29th, Thai Nguyen University (TNU) hosted a meeting for teachers involved in the National Foreign Language Project 2023. The meeting was attended by Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Van Hung, Director of the University; leaders of the Training and Student Management Department, the Planning, Investment and Finance Department, the Science, Technology and International Relations Department, along with all teachers participating in the National Foreign Language Project for the year 2023.

In 2023, Thai Nguyen University was once again entrusted by the Ministry of Education and Training with the responsibility to conduct training programs aimed at enhancing the pedagogical skills and foreign language proficiency of English teachers at various educational levels across seven provinces in the country: Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Bac Giang, Dien Bien, Son La, Phu Tho, and Yen Bai.

In 2023, Thai Nguyen University (TNU) has undertaken significant efforts in curriculum development and teacher training to enhance educational quality and faculty capabilities. The university successfully developed and expanded educational materials for five training programs that had received investment for development. Throughout the year, a total of 1,178 teachers from seven provinces were trained in specialized programs. These included 378 slots allocated for advanced foreign language proficiency training and 800 slots for enhancing pedagogical skills. Additionally, TNU focused on the professional development of its own faculty, training 270 university lecturers. Among these, 170 were provided with advanced pedagogical training, while 100 received training to enhance their foreign language skills.

In his speech at the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Van Hung, President of Thai Nguyen University (TNU), commended the dedication and efforts of the teachers participating in the National Foreign Language Project 2023. The meeting was convened to facilitate discussions on priorities, needs, challenges, and to share experiences and strategies for enhancing English language teaching capabilities. The Director expressed his aspiration for the participating teachers to embrace new educational trends, advanced foreign language teaching and learning models, and best practices in English language instruction that could be integrated into their teaching methodologies for primary and secondary English teachers. He was confident that, with the selected experience and professional quality of the English teachers from the member units, the educators would devise suitable educational strategies and solutions that motivate learners and significantly improve the teaching and learning environment
