Leaders of Thai Nguyen University held the meeting with the delegation of Lunghwa University of Science and Technology (Taiwan)

On the afternoon of December 14th , Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Hung, President of Thai Nguyen University held the meeting with the delegation of Lunghwa University of Science and Technology (LUST).

Lunghwa University of Science and Technology was established in 1969, located in Taoyuan province, Taiwan, is a famous private university, ranked the first in the system of private university which majors in science and technology in Northern Taiwan. It is also the only private uiversity nominated in the top 20 leading universities in Taiwan.

In addition to training majors taught in Chinese, the uiversity has many international majors to attract international students to study and research at the uiversity. Currently, the uiversity has about 2,000 international students.

At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Hung, President of TNU, informed that in recent times Thai Nguyen University has always prioritized educational, training cooperation and scientific research programs with Taiwan University. Up to now, Thai Nguyen University has coordinated with over 40 educational and training institutions in Taiwan with variety of activities such as exchanging lecturers and students, scientific research and international cooperation. President of TNU highly appreciated the visit at Thai Nguyen University of Lunghwa University of Science and Technology (Taiwan). In addition, we hope that the two sides will open up more opportunities for exchange and cooperation.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed to enhance mutual understanding and cooperation contents in the memorandum of understanding and training cooperation programs, future scientific research between the two sides. Potential cooperation programs include university-level dual degree training programs (combined with internships), post-graduate training programs, paid internships and academic programs and cultural change./.
