On May 6, 2023, Thai Nguyen University held the final round of the contest "Vietnamese - Korean singing and composing Vietnamese lyrics for Korean songs". Attending the program were Mr. Lee Kyeong Dock, Minister Counsellor of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam; Mr. Ryu Seok Hun, Director of Best in Korea Vietnam Co., Ltd; representatives of Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Office of Provincial People's Committee, and Department of Foreign Affairs of Thai Nguyen province. On the side of TNU, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Hung, President of the University; Assoc. Prof. Tran Viet Khanh, Deputy Director; Leaders of TNU departments; Leaders of member and affiliated units and a large number of TNU students.

In his opening speech at the program, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Hoang Van Hung, Director of TNU, emphasized: Music, as a cultural diplomatic messenger, has made a great connection between Vietnam and international friends. The contest "Vietnamese - Korean singing" has brought not only a love of art to students, but also an opportunity to learn and connect with each other in the friendship between Vietnam and Korea...

The organizers give gold prizes to contestants

In the final round, the contestants performed 16 performances, including 15 solo songs and 1 chorus performance. The jury selected 4 best performances to award 1 Special prize (worth 40 million VND), 1 Gold prize (worth 30 million VND), 1 Silver prize (worth 20 million VND), and 1 prize for the Most Favorite Contestant (worth 10 million VND); at the same time, the Organizing Committee also awarded 2 KBS-WA awards. The winners also have the opportunity to participate in the Korean University singing contest organized by STN Sports and have the opportunity to appear on Korean television.
