From June 22^nd to 25, 2021, the workshop: “How to use survey data about graduates to support administration innovation and ensure the quality in universities” have been organized online under the control of Vietnam University of Agriculture. It is in the framework of the project: “Monitoring trends in Vietnamese Graduates” which Thai Nguyen University is a participant.

The conference is organized online

On behalf of Thai Nguyen University, there had project members such as:  Assoc.Prof. Tran Thanh Van (Vice President of Thai Nguyen university/Member of Project committee),  Dr. Nguyen Dinh Yen (Lecturer, General Secretary of Youth Union, Thai Nguyen university/Admin Staff); Dr. Nguyen Bich Hong (Lecturer, Deputy Head of Science –Technology & International Cooperation Department, TNU - University of Economics and Business Administration/Researcher/Admin staff); Dr. Pham Minh Hoang (IT Lecturer, Deputy Head of Student Affairs, TNU - University of Economics and Business Administration/Admin staff/IT staff); Dr. Truong Thi Anh Tuyet (Lecturer, TNU - University of Agriculture and Forestry/Researcher/Admin staff); Dr. Le Van Thuy (Deputy Head of School of Foreign Language, Thai Nguyen university/IT staff). Beside to the representatives of Thai Nguyen University, there are also participants coming from higher institutions in Vietnam and other partners in Euro.

In the beginning of the conference, Dr. Dorel Manitiu, the coordinator of the Motive project, Almalaurea Interuniversity Consortium expressed a gratitude to partners in Vietnam for implementing activities of the project in time. It thanks to the effort and commitment from members in the context of the overbreak of the pandemic.

At the conference, members together discussed and agree about the content of the questionnaire and the survey plan. The questionnaire needs to be suitable to the target of the project and meet the demand of the Minister of Education and Training.  Euro partners also have presentations about enhancing the ability of employees and support policy innovation.

Dr.  Dorel Manitiu and Dr Vu Thanh Van – coordinator the MOTIVE project of Academy of Journalism and Communication also gave a speech about how to communicate for the project and write the project handbook. The project handbook will share experience of members in project management, calling enterprises and students to register in the information system of the project, survey graduates.

20 participants together discussed about the ability of connection between enterprises and students. The advantage of the motive project is that information about students is confirmed by enterprises so it is accurate. However, there are disadvantages such as the interface is not attractive, the content has not been arranged appropriately ...

The motive project also launches a competition with the topic:” Graduates and the labor market” for all students coming from universities which are the members of the project. The winner will have opportunities to receive sponsorship to come Italy and attend the summary conference of the project.

The conference has been successful and meet the requirements of the organization committee. The next conference in the framework of the project will be organized in 7//2021 in Quang Nam province. In the coming time, the project will continue fulfill the questionnaire and survey on graduates. The project also focuses on develop the network of enterprises and promote the connection with enterprises in the platform of the project in order to create the suitable jobs for students.
