In the morning of 14^th  May 2013 at Thai Nguyen University (TNU), Dr. Bui Cong Tho – Head of Office and representative of Hessen State (Federal Republic of Germany) in Vietnam granted 16 scholarships to deserving  students who belong  to disadvantageous family background yet strived hard to achieve outstanding academic ratings  in Thai Nguyen. Fortunately, ten (10) deserving students of TNU were granted scholarships.

Dr. Bui Cong Tho – Head of Office and representative  of Hessen (Germany) in Vietnam and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Van Minh – Director of TNU Department of International Affairs present scholarship grants and Certificate of Acceptance to the ten (10)  recipients.

The ceremony was held in the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dang Van Minh – Director of TNU Department of International Affairs, representing managers from TNU Department of Students Affairs, TNU Governing Board and Departments of Students Affairs of several universities, and student-scholars of the university graced theoccasion.

During the ceremony, Mr. Dang Van Minh expressed his enjoyment and satisfsction on the announcement that ten (10) TNU students were recipients of said scholarships. He stated that  this scholarship grants would serve as a great motivation and encouragement, in terms of both material and spiritual meaning for students in their learning and self-improvement.

The state Ministry of Science and Arts in Hessen (Germany) granted this scholarship for students who belong to disadvantageous family background but have achieved excellent academic results at universities, colleges and vocational schools nationwide. Each student-scholar is entitled to receive stipend at 18Euro/month for 12 months, with a total amount of  216 Euro/year (about 6.000.000 VND).  

In Thai Nguyen, sixteen (16) students received this scholarship, including ten (10) TNU students, three (3) students from Thai Nguyen College of Financial Economics, and three (3) students from Vietnam-Germany College of Industry.

Besides the money valued at 6.000.000VND, each student was given a Certificate of Scholarship Recipient with their personal information and the signature of Minister of Science & Arts (Hessen).

The ten (10) scholarship recipients are:

1.      Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy – Faculty of Foreign Languages

2.      Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Department of Social Affairs, University of Science

3.      Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai, Department of Information system – University of Information Technology and Communications.

4.      Ms. Hoang Thi Lan Huong – Department of Literature – University of Education

5.      Mr. La Thanh Trung – Department of Forest resource management – University of Agriculture and Forestry

6.      Ms. Hoang Thi Huyen Trang – Department of Teeth – Jaw – Face physician

7.      Mr. Nong Van Trinh – Department of Automobile technology

8.      Ms. Trieu Mui Mui – Department of Soil management  University of Economics and Business Administration

9.      Mr. Dang Van Luong – Department of Economic Investment -  University of Economics and Business Administration

10.  Ms. Trieu Thi Nguyen – Department of Industrial Management – University of Industrial Technology.

Similarly, during the academic year 2011-2012, the foundation awarded sixteen (16) scholars based on their low level family status  but with outstanding academic ratings, including ten (10) TNU students, three (3) students from Thai Nguyen College of Education, and three (3) from Vietnam-Germany College of Industry.
