The Elite StudyInTaiwan Program Office is commissioned by the Ministry of Education which strives to provide necessary services for the higher education cooperation between Taiwan and Southeast Asian countries and the wider international community. In order to promote higher education collaboration and mutual development for Southeast Asia countries, the ESIT office has initiated scholarship programs with consortium universities in Taiwan to offer Southern Sunshine Scholarship (SSS) for International students to study in Taiwan. Until 2014, the consortium universities in Taiwan are offering over 300 English-instructed programs for Master’s and/or Ph.D. degrees in various disciplines, and thus serving as a bridge connecting students and the consortium universities in Taiwan.
