Demand-driven Collaborative Research Initiative workshop in Malaysia
The successful acquirement of research grant in the country nowadays is often preceded by the implementation of an effective and clear research proposal, transcendent of exemplary and meritorious qualities. The inception of such proposals is part of the development of young researchers, inspired through the shared experiences and wisdom from their more distinguished colleagues and peers.
This 3-day UPM-AKEPT workshop is a collaborative initiative towards bridging the knowledge gap of young researchers for the preparation of good quality research proposals, through intellectual discourse with prominent figures in the industry by providing insights regarding what makes a proposal exceptionally relevant in today’s highly demanding research society. Through in-depth discussions and various academic colloquia sessions, participants will be exposed towards the systematic framework of writing a coherent, concise and coordinated research proposal that matches the needs of research grant committees and evaluators.
On 13-15 November, 2013, Dr Ha Xuan Linh, Deputy Chief Office of Thai Nguyen University and M.Sc Nguyen The Vinh, Officer of Department of International Cooperation, attended the recently concluded workshop. It is expected that this event will strengthen research capabilities in its effort to respond to the opportunities and challenges in developing research opportunities.
