Vietnam Environmental Awards is the only official award of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment that is given to individuals, organizations and communities in Vietnam for their excellent performances in environmental protection.

In 2015, there were about 300 application forms submitted to the organizers for the awards. Faculty of Environment and Earth Science – TNU University of Sciences was the 12^th among 50 organizations and individuals to be honored in the awards ceremony.

At the awards ceremony, Mr. Bui Cach Tuyen- Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, not only talked about significant and function of the award, but also incited organizations and individuals who got Vietnam Environmental Awards continue to try more in environmental protection. He encouraged every person to participate in this mission as well.

At the same time, in his speech, he pointed out some solutions for Vietnam’s environment issue such as improving local authorities management capacity in environmental protection, deploying widely and deeply environmentally friendly products and production models and giving more financial support to environmental protection.
