A total of 221 honored intellectuals at the ceremony were the national representative intellectuals who had achieved outstanding achievements in the movements of labor emulation, production, application of research results and advances in science - technology of all socio-economic fields.

The programs of voting Vietnamese representative intellectuals on the socio-economic front in 2013 attracted nearly 500 nomination profiles of notables and intellectuals throughout the country. After 04 months of deployment, the organizing committee selected 221 most excellent candidates to honor and award the Gold Prize inthat occasion.
