EDUCATION ACCREDITATION COUNCIL AWARDS THE CERTIFICATE OF EDUCATIONAL QUALITY ACCREDITATION ON INSTITUTIONAL LEVEL TO TNU -UICT

On March 16, 2017, a ceremony was held in cognizance with the decision of the Education Accreditation Council of the Center for Accreditation of Education - Association of Vietnam Colleges and Universities in recognition for the remarkable performance of TNU University of Information and Communications Technology (TNU-UICT) for significantly obtaining the certificate of accreditation for educational quality at institution level.

During the opening ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Van Tao – Rector of TNU-UICT summarized the development of the university as well as the preparation and completion of records and evidences to register for quality accreditation. Having undergone a formal survey for external evaluation from November 01 to November 04, 2016 in a serious, open, and transparent atmosphere, the University obtained a score of 53/61 evaluation criteria (account for  86.88%.) With this result, the University was accredited without doubt by the accrediting agency. On behalf of all staff of TNU- UICT, Nguyen Van Tao pledged in the upcoming time to make continuous efforts to bring into play the strengths they achieved and to improve the existing evaluation points and recommendations of the Council for developing further the training quality of the university.

With these achievements, the University was proud and honored to be granted the  Certificate of Merit by the Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges, for maintaining years of high quality human resource training and actively contributing to consolidate and develop the university. In regard to this award, Assoc. Prof. Mai Van Trinh-Director General of the Department of Testing and Certification, Ministry of Education and Training, congratulated the university constituent and confirmed that “the University can claim to the society nationwide that TNU-UITC provides quality tertiary education with quality standards and is willing to assume responsibility of providing high quality human resource training in the region and the country in the context of new development.

This was a great event, marking the timeless development of a young university in the  system of universities across the country. Being the first university in the northern mountainous region to receive the certificate of accreditation of educational institutions, the TNU-UICT was one of the first 16 universities in the country to be recognized in meeting the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.
