SOFT SKILLS TRAINING COURSE FOR TNU FEMALE STUDENTS

In the morning of May 27, 2017, the opening ceremony on Soft Skills Training Course for female TNU students with funding from the project "Brave Girls" was held at the lecture hall A1 – TNU University of Agriculture and Forestry (TNU-UAF).

Nearly 100 female trainees from TNU-UAF and other member-universities of Thai Nguyen University attended the course. The course was conducted for duration of 06 sessions on weekends, each with its own themes such as introductory and soft skills development activities (Information Technology, Positive Thinking and Thinking Skills, Creativity, Teambuilding, Leadership Skills, Global Citizens and Active Citizens).

The objective of "Brave Girls Project" was to develop skills for girls aged ranging from 16 to 22 high school and university students in Thai Nguyen province. Brave Girls is one of 168 projects around the world taking part in the contest for United States Government's Alumni Fund. Brave Girls is proud to be the only winning project with entire development team of representatives from Vietnam. With a $24,000 prize package, the Brave Girls Project wishes to fulfill their mission of promoting gender equality and developing leadership skills for girls in Thai Nguyen province as well as the Northern mountainous in Vietnam.

After the completion of the course, the US Embassy in Vietnam issued certificates of completion to the participants. Part of the course participants were given the opportunity to attend the final Gala scheduled for mid-August 2017 in Hanoi.
